Terms of Service
Last updated 2026. These terms apply to everyone using Lucy.
1. Who you are contracting with
Hire Lucy (hirelucy.com) is operated and sold by MRGN VENTURES LTD, trading as Hire Lucy, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ (“we”, “us”, “Lucy”). By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms.
You must be of legal age to enter a contract, and where you sign up on behalf of a company you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. The service
Lucy researches keywords, drafts articles and publishes them to the site or content system you connect. You keep full ownership of everything Lucy produces for you.
We may change or improve features over time. If we remove something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice by email.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity that happens under your account.
You must be authorised to connect any website, CMS or search account you link to Lucy.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Lucy to publish unlawful, deceptive, or infringing content, or to manipulate search engines against their published guidelines.
Lucy will not produce content designed to disguise its origin from search engines. Accounts used for that purpose may be suspended.
5. Content and review
You are the publisher of record for everything sent to your site. We strongly recommend reviewing drafts before enabling automatic publishing.
You are responsible for the accuracy of claims, pricing, and any regulated statements in published articles.
Lucy uses AI models to draft and review content. Output can be inaccurate or incomplete and is not professional, legal, medical or financial advice — check it before you publish. You confirm you have the rights to any material you ask Lucy to work from.
6. Search rankings and performance
Search engines are independent third parties with their own algorithms, guidelines and policies, which change without notice. We do not control, and make no representations or guarantees about, how any search engine crawls, indexes or ranks your site.
We are not responsible for any change in your search visibility, rankings, impressions, clicks or traffic — whether upwards or downwards — including any de-indexing, de-ranking, demotion, or manual or algorithmic penalty applied by Google or any other search engine, whether or not it relates to content produced or published through Lucy. No ranking or traffic outcome is grounds for a refund beyond our published refund policy.
How you use the content is your choice: you decide what to publish, where, and how much of it. Because you are the publisher, the consequences of publishing — including any search-engine action against your site — rest with you.
7. Payment, billing and our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, currency, sales tax and VAT, invoicing, cancellations, refunds and chargebacks are handled by Paddle under the Paddle Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Paddle, or a name including Paddle, will appear on your card statement.
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle shown at checkout and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the current billing period. Our refund terms are set out on our refunds page; refund requests are processed through Paddle at paddle.net or by emailing us.
8. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Lucy running, but the service is provided as is, without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free availability, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. This includes any loss of search rankings, traffic or business arising from search-engine actions against your site. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
You indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from content you publish through Lucy, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Lucy at any time. We may suspend or end accounts for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
