Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 2026. The rules for what you publish with Lucy.

1. Sites you connect

You must own the website, CMS or search account you connect, or have written permission from the owner to publish to it.

You are the publisher of everything that goes live on your site. You are responsible for reviewing drafts before or after publication and for the claims they make.

2. Content you may not create or publish

Unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit material, or content that exploits or endangers minors.

Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights, or that reproduces third-party material without the right to do so.

Medical, legal, financial or safety advice presented as professional guidance without your own qualified review.

Misleading claims, fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, invented statistics, or credentials and certifications you do not hold.

Regulated categories where automated publishing is restricted in your market, unless you have your own compliance sign-off.

3. Search engines

Lucy is built to publish genuinely useful pages that stand on their own. You may not use it to run doorway pages, cloaking, hidden text, link schemes, scraped or spun content, or anything else that breaches the published guidelines of Google, Bing or any other search engine.

We do not offer, and will not build, features designed to disguise automated content from search engines. Requests for that will be declined.

4. Platform and security

Do not attempt to access other customers' data, probe or bypass our security controls, reverse engineer the service, or use it to attack third-party systems.

Do not resell, sublicense or run the service on behalf of clients under an account that hides who is actually publishing, unless we have agreed an agency arrangement in writing.

Do not use automated means to overload the service, or connect sites at a volume or crawl rate intended to disrupt it.

5. Enforcement

If we believe an account breaches this policy, we may pause publishing, remove offending content from our systems, suspend the account, or end it, depending on the severity.

Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Serious or repeated breaches may end an account immediately without a refund.

Report suspected abuse to us and we will look into it.
